ADA, Okla. – Vocalists from Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas will join Jae L. and the Crossover band 7 p.m., Saturday, June 16, on the historic McSwain Theatre stage, 130 W. Main Street.

Special guests include: Chandler Elliott, Haley Miller, Jerry Studebaker, Clancy Davis and Grace Deering from Ada; Mary Alford from Caney; Kensingtyn Curtis from Roff; Haylie Bagwell from Coffeeville, Kansas and Marcus Leary from Dallas.

For nearly 100 years the McSwain Theatre has offered a compelling variety of entertainment to Ada residents and visitors alike. Vaudeville acts, silent films, major motion pictures and live musical performances have helped make the theatre a staple of the main street entertainment scene.

As a music destination, the McSwain brought in the likes of Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, Patti Page, Blake Shelton, Neal McCoy, Ray Price and The Osmond Brothers, among others.

Monthly Jae L. and Crossover shows offer local, up-and-coming artists an audience, stage, microphone and full band.

For June, performers have planned their own renditions of songs like Elvis Presley’s “By Myself,” “Still the One” by the Orleans, Shania Twain’s “Up,” “Shoes” by Patsy Cline, “That’ll be the Day,” by Buddy Holly, “Folsom Prison Blues,” by Johnny Cash and a mother-daughter version of Kari Jobe’s “I am Not Alone,” among others.

The shows often encourage audience participation and interaction. Performances span many genres, everything from country to classic hits.

Crossover musicians have decades of combined experience performing with artists who specialize in all genres of music. Band members include Jae L Stilwell, Jody Teeter, Jeff Donaldson, Deni Stubbs, Greg Griffin, Wayne Morton, Mike Price, Gary Bryan, Kenny Anderson, Debbie Allen and Tara Scott.

July’s Jae L. and Crossover show will mark the beginning of the 2018 Grand Awards Show, with preliminaries in the 16-and-under, group and gospel categories.

Season tickets for all Jae L. and Crossover shows are now available. For ticket information, contact the McSwain office at 580-332-8108 or at http://www.mcswaintheatre.com.
