McSwain re-opening to feature Honky-Tonk Tailgate Party on Saturday
ADA - Only a few tickets remain for the grand re-opening of the McSwain Theatre in Ada on Saturday.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for the Honky Tonk Tailgate Party '09 featuring country music artists Mark Wills, Jeff Bates and Trent Willmon. The show begins at 7.
"The McSwain Theatre is an icon of family entertainment in this community," said Bill Anoatubby, governor of the Chickasaw Nation. "This reopening marks a milestone and a new beginning for this historic theater."
The Tailgate Party will be the first public event conducted at the theater since renovations began.
"We are extremely excited for the opening. It's full-steam ahead for the McSwain after this first show," said Judy McLellan, manager of the theater.
"These guys have been touring together since spring and we are looking forward to an excellent show."
Wills is a multi-platinum country star with eight Top 10 singles including "19 Somethin'" and "Don't Laugh at Me."
He will be joined by Bates, singer of the recent singles "Don't Hate Me For Loving You" and "One Thing."
The last part of the trio, Willmon, has not only had success as a recording artist, but also as a songwriter for the likes of Montgomery Gentry and Brad Paisley.
"This show is an event, not just a concert," said tour booking agent Jon Folk. "With three artists of this caliber, fans are certainly getting their money's worth."
Tickets are $30 for premium seats and $25 for regular seats. To purchase tickets, contact the McSwain office at (580) 332-8108.
